Kim Stevens

Regional Early Learning Center Executive Director

Kim has dedicated her career to childhood development and early childhood education. Not only does she have a degree in early childhood special education, she also holds a Nevada teaching license and is a certified trainer for Parenting with Love and Logic.”I have 8 wonderful kids of my own, ranging in age from 10 to 21 years old. My experience in many parenting roles – biological, foster, adoptive and step parent – help me help other parents and allow me to better identify the needs of families who attend our center.”

“I love working at the ELC because it provides me an opportunity to provide high quality childcare in a state-of-the-art facility at an incredibly affordable rate. Thanks to the support of a great board and dedicated upper-management, I have been able to incorporate all of the best practices that I have learned through numerous experiences with a variety of agencies and organizations.”

Amber Debeer

E.L. Wiegand Site Director

Amber has worked at E.L Wiegand Early Learning Center since the doors opened in 2008. She began as a part-time Pre-K teacher and gradually moved up the ladder to a Lead Pre-K teacher, then Education Coordinator, Assistant Director and just recently promoted to Site Director. During these years Amber took a brief leave of absence from the center and moved out of state. While away, she realized my passion was in Early Childhood Education and returned to the center she now considers her second home. As for her first home, it includes her beautiful son Jacob who keeps her on her toes, her amazing husband Jake, and their two dogs. Not only as a parent, but as the director of ELC she believes that all children deserve unconditional love, a safe environment to grow, and supportive caregivers to help them succeed in life. Amber is furthering her love for Early Childhood by continuing her own education in pursuit of a ECE degree. “My favorite part about working at the center is watching the children meet the different milestones and cherishing those moments with their families. I strive to continue to provide the same level of care my successor, and my friend, Kim Stevens had in mind when she opened ELC many years ago.” – Amber DeBeer
